The Johannesburg Business School Centre for Entrepreneurship (JBSCE) under the Johannesburg Business School  forms part of the University of Johannesburg. The centre is aligned to the University of Johannesburg's goal to be an international tertiary institution of choice in Africa, recognised for excellence in research, innovation, knowledge building, and collaboration.

At JBSCE we are committed to providing the best affordable learning programmes and training in entrepreneurship education. We are dedicated to entrepreneurship development and support to create a new breed of future-fit entrepreneurs. We are an incubation centre that provides entrepreneurship courses and strategies with a focus on the business needs of Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) start-ups and existing businesses from economically disadvantaged communities.

At Johannesburg Business School Centre for Entrepreneurship, we aim to:

  • Foster a culture of entrepreneurship among students and entrepreneurs
  • Build future-fit entrepreneurs
  • Challenge the entrepreneurship landscape with thought leadership and innovation
  • Create future leaders in social impact and economic growth
  • Develop bridges from past ground-breakers to future entrepreneurs

We are leaders in entrepreneurship development. This is evident in the manner we assist our entrepreneurs; work with our students and Alumni. Through the partnerships created over the years, the JBSCE brings to the entrepreneurship ecosystem; innovative thought leadership; ground-breaking research; and new initiatives, programmes, events and concepts to continually grow entrepreneurs.

We believe in combining the best talent in academic thought leadership with practical programmes on the ground that work.
