University of Johannesburg's Centre for Entrepreneurship (UJCfE)

University of Johannesburg's Centre for Entrepreneurship (UJCfE) under the Johannesburg Business School within the College of Business and Economics at the University of Johannesburg welcomes entrepreneurs, students, academics, thought leaders and entrepreneurship ecosystem partners and supporters. .

UJCfE forms part of UJ's goal to be an international tertiary institution of choice in Africa, recognised for excellence in research, innovation, knowledge building, and collaboration. At UJCfE, we seek to:

  • Foster a culture of entrepreneurship among students and entrepreneurs
  • Build future-fit entrepreneurs
  • Challenge the entrepreneurship landscape with thought leadership and innovation
  • Create future leaders in social impact and economic growth
  • Develop bridges from past ground-breakers to future entrepreneurs

We seek to be at the forefront of entrepreneurship – in how we assist our entrepreneurs; work with our students; through the partners we bring to entrepreneurship ecosystems; in innovative thought leadership; ground-breaking research; and creating new initiatives, programmes, events and concepts to continually grow entrepreneurship.

We believe in combining the best talent in academic thought leadership with practical programmes on the ground that work.

For those who seek to become future entrepreneurs, to take part in thought leadership in entrepreneurship (link to our LinkedIn page), who support our programmes (link to the programmes + UJ student entrepreneurship programme tab) and new initiatives (link to events), join us today at UJCfE.

In South Africa, technical business and entrepreneurial skills are critical for our economy to thrive by developing future small and medium businesses and growing entrepreneurship. Within the University of Johannesburg's premier Business School, UJCfE is committed to pioneering new initiatives and strategies with a focus on the business needs of our communities.

As Nelson Mandela said, "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead".
