In South Africa, as with all countries, the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) is set to make fundamental changes to the way we live, study, work and conduct business. This revolution is driven by the rapid development of digital technology that is founded in artificial intelligence (AI), communications, including cutting-edge 5G infrastructure, data and the internet-of-things (IoT). Africa’s socioeconomic growth and development are critical and thus require correct inputs from academia, business industry and governments to achieve, and solidify the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and the United Nations 2030 Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Agenda to achieve the desired outputs of solid academic students to enter the real world of work.

The University of Johannesburg (UJ), as an institution is pursuing global excellence and exceptional stature and committed itself to playing a leading role in accentuating technology efforts to ensure that South Africa and our continent are not left behind and trapped in an imaginary world but move forward and become part of this global impulse of the real world.

And that is why, in support of our commitment, we are seeking your strategic collaborative partnership as important representatives of our country, Africa and the world.
