About Mr J Lenong

Mr. Jentley Lenong joined the University of Johannesburg, Faculty of Law in July of 2012 as a lecturer. Before then he was attached to the University of Stellenbosch as a junior lecturer, where he also obtained the degrees BA (Law), LLB and LLM (cum laude). In late 2015 he was invited as a visiting researcher to the Global Trust Project currently been hosted at Tel Aviv University in Israel, where he worked on the governance and the fragmentation of sovereignty as it relates to shared natural resources. His primary research interest is in the field of International Law, Statecraft, State Cybersecurity Law and Natural Resources Law. Mr. Lenong is also a PhD researcher and an expert member of the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) with his focus on Cybersecurity Law. Mr Lenong also serves as an academic in the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) – Education for Justice (E4J) network focusing on International Cybercrime.
