About Rajendra Pant

Prof. Pant does research in Nonlinear Functional Analysis: Fixed Point Theory. In the last 50 years, fixed point theory is one of the rapidly growing areas of research in mathematics. This theory plays a fundamental role in many branches of pure, applied, and computational mathematics, such as nonlinear analysis, optimization, economics, and game theory. The crucial key of this success is due to the possibility of representing various problems arising in above disciplines, in the form of an equivalent fixed-point problem. Therefore, theoretical and methodological aspects of fixed-point theory apply to characterize the problems under study in abstract settings, but also for solving them completely or approximately. Prof Pant’s research focuses on developing existence and convergence results for nonlinear operators in metric, Banach and Hilbert spaces.
