About Dr Moffat Machiwenyika

Dr Moffat R. Machiwenyika holds a PhD in Development Studies, specialising in the decolonisation of higher education. His research focuses on decolonisation, transformation, and social justice within higher education, particularly in Global South contexts. Dr Machiwenyika’s work critically examines structural inequalities and advocates for equitable access, participation, and success for historically marginalised student groups. He is committed to exploring how higher education institutions can foster inclusive and transformative environments that challenge systemic barriers. His scholarship contributes to ongoing debates around policy reform, curriculum transformation, and institutional cultures aimed at promoting equity and sustainability in higher education.
