  • Attend regular reading groups and writing retreats?
  • Gain experience running ACEPS conferences?
  • Get published in international journals?
  • Get experience as a research assistant?

The African Centre for Epistemology and Philosophy of Science has a lot to offer. ACEPS hosts a significant number of international visitors, conferences and projects. Check out the ACEPS main page to see if you like the things we do to ensure a vibrant PG community, all of which helps promote an enjoyable and successful supervision.

Have a look at the Team to see what our PGs are working on and the other ACEPS links to get a good idea of what ACEPS does and whether it is a good fit for you. And if you think you have what it takes, then ACEPS director Prof Veli Mitova  wants to hear from you with:

  • A motivation letter explaining how your work will contribute to ACEPS
  • Your academic transcripts
  • Your CV

It is best to apply as early as possible so that any issues can be resolved, especially where this relates to funding and visas issues. UJ provides help at Admissions+Aid, so please check there first. ACEPS does offers some bursaries for PGs and PDRFs dependant on availability of funds.

If in doubt ask!

Looking forward to hearing from you!
