Who is eligible to vote for Convocation Executive Elections?
All members of Convocation The Institutional Statute of UJ determines that the membership of the Convocation consists of: Alumni (diplomates and graduates of accredited subsidised qualifications) of the University of Johannesburg, the Rand Afrikaans University and the Technikon Witwatersrand, the Vice Chancellor and other members of the Management Executive Committee, permanent academic employees and retired permanent academic employees of the University.
Who should I contact if I am unable to access the voting system?
For enquiries email: ujconvocation@uj.ac.za, during office hours. There are currently no elections.
Can I vote for more than one candidate?
You are only allowed to cast one vote for the candidate of your choice.
When is the closing date for voting?
There are currently no elections.
What is my login details?
A unique voter number and password will be sent via email or sms. This information must be kept confidential and not shared.
How many attempts to login?
If first attempt is unsuccessful, email ujconvocation@uj.ac.za for assistance.
How do I login to the electronic voting system?
The electronic voting system makes provision for a one-time password to be sent to the cell phone number or email address on record. This information is sent with the electroinc voting system link.
Do i need to update my contact details to vote?
Yes. Failure to update your contact details may jeopardise your ability to participate in this key process as you will not be able to access the electronic voting system if your details are incorrectly captured on the voter’s roll.
Can i update my details during the voting process?
Yes, you may update your details at any time, however, you will not be permitted to participate in any voting process that may be active at the time.
