Purpose
The purpose of this SLP is to introduce participants to the theory and practice of using digital public relations tools, techniques and strategies. Students will gain knowledge about digital public relations fundamentals, digital channels, social media strategies, storytelling and digital branding.
Learn essential skills in social media marketing, online stakeholder relations, and influencer marketing, highly sought after in both private and public sectors. Gain expertise to become digital storytellers, public relations associates, media relations associates, content creators, social media practitioners, digital brand assistants, or social media community managers. Master tools to engage with journalists and influencers, create engaging online content, develop social media strategies, measure engagement, and manage online risks. You will learn about:
• Social Media Strategies to Increase Brand Reach, Engagement, and Visibility
• Creating Your Professional Online Brand Persona
• Responding to the Risks of Online Engagement
• Using Online Dashboards to Measure Brand Performance
Career Opportunities

Admission Requirements
Interested students need to have a NQF level 4 or matric certificate or equivalent.
