Prof Elizabeth Henning
Prof Elizabeth Henning is the Director of the Centre for Education Practice Research at the Soweto campus. She is also the South African National Research Foundation Chair for "Integrated Studies of Learning Language, Mathematics and Science in the Primary School." She leads research in mathematical cognition and language in the early years of school as well as primary school children's learning of science concepts and reading of science texts. Prof Jace Pillay holds a

Prof Brenda Leibowitz have been fortunate to apply for and receive one of six NRF-managed and DHET-funded Chairs under the SARChI initiative in the field of post-secondary education: teaching and learning. This is a five-year grant, renewable for two more cycles. It requires the grant-holder to do no more than 20% undergraduate teaching, and to focus on research production and research capacity building.
