Waste disposal policy: landfill

Refer to page 7 (point 8.6) of the UJ Waste Management Policy on disposal of waste at landfill sites:

8.6   Disposal of waste at landfill sites:

“UJ will ensure that waste will only be disposed of at landfill sites approved by the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry (DWAF) specifically for the type of waste generated.

UJ will adopt the Cradle to Grave principle.

UJ will comply with the minimum requirements for disposal at landfill sites as determined by DWAF.”
