TechnoLab specializes in presenting technology related workshops to school learners. The workshops are designed to have a healthy balance between practical and theoretical concepts, where all workshops end with a design challenge to stimulate the learner’s creative thinking. Customized Workshops start from 3hrs per session and are rated per group of 30 Learners.

All of the above topics can be structured to suit FET phase learners.
General Information
- Each workshop lasts approximately three hours.
- A mandatory 15 min break is scheduled midway through the workshop.
- All workshops are presented in English
- Workshops are presented at Technolab only.
- The maximum number of learners per group is 30. More than 30 learners should be divided into more groups.
- The total number of groups that can be accommodated at the same time varies according to the resources available and must be confirmed with TechnoLab.
- Workshops are presented during the mornings on weekdays during normal school hours.
- Teachers are expected to sit in for the complete duration of workshop.
- All workshops can be presented on different levels of difficulty to comply with Junior and Senior Phase Science & Technology syllabi
Please note: Should a parent wish to organize groups to attend workshops, that parent will take the responsibility of coordinating the various parents and should also handle all money related issues. The TechnoLab accepts payment per workshop, not per learner.
Saturday School
Learn, Build, and Innovate.
TechnoLab specializes in presenting technology related workshops to school learners. The workshops are designed to have a healthy balance between practical and theoretical concepts, where all workshops end with a design challenge to stimulate the learner’s creative thinking. The Saturday School program is done every Saturday at the University of Johannesburg TechnoLab for 20 weeks (08h30 – 13h00) at a rating per individual learner. Winter Camp: DARE TO DREAM
Our Future. Reimagined.
TechnoLab specializes in presenting technology related workshops to school learners. The workshops are designed to have a healthy balance between practical and theoretical concepts, where all workshops end with a design challenge to stimulate the learner’s creative thinking. Moreover, the DARE TO DREAM Winter Camp is suited for learners (Girls Camp, Boys Camp, or Girls and Boys Camp) as required by client. The Winter Camp: Dare to Dream is a transformative learning experience designed to ignite curiosity, foster innovation, and empower young minds. Through a dynamic blend of literacy, technology exploration, career guidance, and hands-on activities, this camp prepares learners for a future driven by knowledge and creativity. The Dare to Dream Winter Camp is a 5-day camp over the June/July holidays. It is for individuals (parents) upon advertisement, otherwise upon consultation, schools, science centers, corporate entities are welcome to have learners participate. Learn More Here

Holiday Club
Explore, Learn, and Have Fun.
TechnoLab specializes in presenting technology related workshops to school learners. The workshops are designed to have a healthy balance between practical and theoretical concepts, where all workshops end with a design challenge to stimulate the learner’s creative thinking. Holiday Clubs are reserved for University of Johannesburg stuff members children ONLY, and run from 08h30 – 16h00. They occur of a 5 day period and information is shared internally. The Club runs over 4 days with Coding and Robotics content delivery and 1 fun day that may include exploring the University or fun activities depending on the ages of the learner within the group. 4IR Hub Center Establishment

The Establishment of a 4IR Hub includes Training of relevant individuals and/or assistance of the furnituring of the physical structure as per current technologies.
