About Ms Hadassah Myers
Qualifications: MA: Digtal Art (Wits); B-Tech: Multimedia (UJ)
Hadassah Myers has worked in the Department of Multimedia since January 2011. Her key teaching areas include Interaction Design (IxD) and Interactive Technology. Her fields of interest include Design Thinking, Service Design, Systemic Design, Speculative Design, Digital Health, 4IR, Gamification and Storytelling.
Research and supervision focus:
Discursive Design: Using Speculative Design and Design Fiction as a tools for critical enquiry and inclusive Design practice.
Systemic and Transition Design: Addressing complex social and environmental problems with a Human-centred Design and Systems Thinking approach.
Interactive Narrative and Gamification: Understanding and preferencing agency in the design of interactive-narrative based educational interventions and games.
Digital Health in the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Recognising the importance of embodied cognition when designing Cyber-Physical Systems for health monitoring and management.
