About Matshidiso Sello

Matshidiso is a researcher who recently joined the CSDA in May 2021. She holds a BA (Politics and Sociology), Honours Degree (Demography and Population Studies) and an MA degree in Demography and Population Studies awarded by the University of the Witwatersrand. She is currently registered for her PhD studies at the University of the Witwatersrand and is working on a child malnutrition research project.

Matshidiso has vast experience in working with population-based research and surveillance systems. She worked as part of a research team that tracked the vital demographic events, investigated the determinants of morbidity and mortality among pregnant women and
