Dr Oniccah M Motloung is a lecturer at the school of Public Management, Governance and Policy at the University of Johannesburg. She worked at North-West university from 2018 until 2022 as a part-time lecturer, a research assistant and later became a Postdoctoral research fellow under the department of Public Management and Governance. She obtained her Doctorate from North-West University (Vaal Triangle Campus) in Public Management and Governance; the title of her PhD research is ‘Governance of Digital innovation in the public sector in South Africa’. Her PhD was funded by NRF. Her master’s research focused on investigating the contribution of geographical patterns in disastrous prone areas and she used Alexandra township as a case study. Oniccah’s research interests, include public sector innovation/digital innovation and e-governance, disaster risk management and public sector human resources management. Oniccah is a member of a professional association of public management (SAAPAM). Qualifications: M.A. Public management and Development, Honours B.A. Public management and Governance, B.A. Public management and Sociology.
