About Prof Habib Noorbhai

Prof. Habib Noorbhai is an Associate Professor in Health & Sports Science and serves as the Director of the Biomedical Engineering and Healthcare Technology (BEAHT) Research Centre. He completed his MPhil (Biokinetics) and Ph.D. (Exercise Science) at the University of Cape Town (UCT). He is an established researcher in cricket science (with an NRF rating) and also conducts research in the health technology and innovation spaces. More notably, he won Mr South Africa in 2017, using the title to spearhead community engagement within health, sport and education spheres. He was later inducted as a Golden Key International Honorary Member at UCT in 2018.
