Admission requirements:

A university-based honours qualification in Sociology/Industrial Sociology at NQF level 7 and a minimum pass rate of 75% for an Honours degree to qualify for a research Master’s and a minimum pass rate of 70% for Honours degree to qualify for coursework Masters. If a student does not comply with the requirements mentioned above, the Executive Dean of the Faculty may grant admission at the recommendation of the head of the department. Duration of the programme
Full-time students have a minimum of one year to complete the programme and part-time students have a minimum of two years.

Module 2: Advanced Research Methodology (SOC9X04)

Minor dissertation SOC9X01; SOC9X02

Examination and pass requirements:
For the final mark of the degree, modules 1 to 2 (with equal weight) count 50% and the minor dissertation the other 50%. All modules must be passed separately.
