Programme Fees


Purpose

The MPhil programme in Digital Built Environment aims to capacitate engineering and built environment professionals with in-depth knowledge in digital application technology, systems and operations. It will allow you conduct an independent, research and make a substantial contribution to the field of building information modeling, digital twins 3D printing and digitalization in engineering and the built environment. The programme aims to develop individuals with an understanding of digital technology, be leaders in engineering and the built environment sector.

Admission Requirements

The degree is for individuals who possess an appropriate honors degree in construction, quantity surveying, architecture, property management studies, engineering, computer science, operations management or equivalent. In addition, applicants should have relevant experience in building information modeling (BIM) or be willing to undertake a preparatory short course in BIM. International applicants need a SAQA certificate on the time of application.
