Purpose

This course aims to alert supervisors of postgraduate students to current contextual debates and issues in postgraduate supervision, such as decolonization, social justice imperatives, the development of knowledge systems, the introduction of new qualifications and the push to strengthen diversity. The purpose of raising and discussing these issues and debates is to enhance supervisors’ capacity to respond to them critically and sensitively as they arise in supervisory practice.
