The University of Johannesburg (UJ)’s Protection Services has been tasked to investigate and acquire an Open Tender process for suppliers to supply, integrate and implement a Video Management System (VMS). The primary goal of the “best value” RFP is to provide an efficient supply, installation and support solution for the VMS which has efficiency, improved service, and possible lower cost of operations

High-level Deliverables:
The Video Management System should control multiple sources of video surveillance subsystems in a facility to collect, manage and present video clearly and concisely. The VMS should intelligently determine the capabilities of each subsystem across single or multiple sites, allowing video management of any compatible digital video device through a unified configuration platform and viewer. The VMS should provide a single graphical user interface, control, and administer digital video surveillance equipment from multiple systems and platforms. The integration will be required to talk to our Impro portal access control, Texecom alarms, Nemtech electric fence, digital radio communications and the IP-based intercoms.

Mandatory Compliance and Functional Evaluation Criteria:

• Demonstrate VMS integration capabilities to integrate to 3rd party systems

• Demonstrate product life cycle sustainability model and support models

• Vendor must provide a minimum of 5 reference letters and contact details (email, telephone number & letter) for sites where similar VMS software has been implemented and maintained

• Vendor must provide accreditation letter from software manufacturer
