About Prof Julia Suárez-Krabbe

​Julia Suárez-Krabbe is based at the Department of Culture and Identity, Roskilde University, Denmark, and is Associate Researcher at the Centre for Social Studies (CES), University of Coimbra, Portugal. She is currently involved in the research project “ALICE – Strange Mirrors, Unsuspected Lessons” ( She has coordinated the Decoloniality Europe Network, and her research emphasises questions of race and racism in relation to human rights, citizenship, development, anti-racist social movements, ‘other’ knowledge and decolonial social change.
