About Prof James Ramontja

RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research interests are in the field of Polymer nanocomposites with a specific focus on Preparation, Characterization, and Properties of Bionanohybrids Based on Biocompatible Polymers and Carbon based nanomaterials. I have completed a project using a polymer, polylactide, and multiwall carbon nanotubes to prepare various polymer nanocomposites for potential medicinal applications such as orthopedics. Although new to the group, I am an established researcher in Polymer nanocomposites Research Niche Area at University of Johannesburg. The projects that I have been involved in were sponsored by the NRF, CSIR, and the Department of Science and Technology.
