About Ms Susanne Taylor
Susanne Taylor serves as the University of Johannesburg’s Work Integrated (WIL) manager, with overarching responsibility for the more than 8000 students learning in authentic workplaces, or in a community setting in the case of Service Learning (SL). She is supported in this by 38 Faculty and Departmental WIL and SL Representatives. Susanne has fulfilled a variety of roles at the university – from lecturer, through the ranks to the Head: School of Information Technology, then into Academic Development and Support, where she is Senior Manager: Special Projects. On the academic front, Susanne holds two Masters Degrees (one in IT, the other in Post-School Education) and is currently enrolled for her PhD, looking at the role of WIL Practitioners in higher education.
