About Mr Riaan Loots

Riaan Loots is the Head of Data Governance, Data Insight and Data Analytics. Originally from the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal, Riaan obtained his BSc Information Technology degree, Postgraduate Diploma in Cyber Law, BA Hons Information Management (cum laude) and MPhil Information Management (cum laude) from the University of Johannesburg. Riaan joined DIPEM in 2024, providing data analytical services to support the University’s strategic data needs. The role supports key decision- making strategic functions of the university, such as strategic plans, annual performance plans, enrolment plans, student success monitoring, student advising, etc.
