About Dr Maglin Moodley
“Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it” Adoption of the best pedagogical approaches alone will never make a great teacher, but a great teacher is someone who recognises and appreciates the individuality of every single learner and then accommodates that individuality in their teaching style. This is what brings out the statue in every learner. As teachers, we need to create an environment that is conducive to personal growth through guided exploration. Learners do not live in isolation; they exist within a social structure. For me teaching is not just about the teacher unpacking and imparting information, it is about making a difference in the life of the learner.
