In digital media design, students engage with and apply digital technologies innovatively in order to design products to communicate and enhance life experiences Starting from a generalised approach, students learn specialisations in interaction design or digital content design. In the interaction design specialisation, students focus on designing innovative interactive technologies and services that recognise and respond to users experience needs. Typical interactive solutions include web-sites, mobile applications, futuristic interfaces and smart products In the digital content design stream, students are concerned with designing communication and narrative based content such as music videos, digital video, motion graphics and short format animation

A Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media Design prepares students to meet the needs of the digital age as designers of content, products, systems and services where text, image, video, audio, graphics and animation converge. While our course places a strong emphasis on the crafting of digital products, we are committed to teaching a design first approach. In a design first approach, all students are taught the fundamentals of design thinking such as design theory, design research, design strategy, creative concept development, and design evaluation.
