The Chemical Engineering Students Association (CESA), a Chapter within the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment (FEBE), in collaboration with the UJ Community Engagement Office, invites you to participate in a
Stationery Collection Drive for Nelson Mandela Day to support a Children’s shelter in our community.

The Chemical Engineering Students Association (CESA) will be running a stationery collection drive for a shelter in need. Many learners struggle in their studies without essential items, such as calculators, writing materials, books, and mathematics sets. To promote STEM careers and show our support to a local children’s shelter in need, we are undertaking a stationery collection drive to collect these essential stationery items. To make a difference, CESA extends the invitation to students and staff members to participate in the drive before Nelson Mandela Day (18th July). Thereafter, the collected items will be donated to the shelter. The collections will be coordinated by Dr Rishen Roopchund and Miss Vizelle Naidoo in collaboration with the UJ Community Engagement Department.

The more participants in the drive, the greater the possible contributions, and the bigger the difference and impact we can make. Collection start date n 16 May 2023 Collection end date:  15 July 2023 Coordinators: Dr. Rishen Roopchund and Miss Vizelle Naidoo For any questions contact: rroopchund@uj.ac.za or vizellen@uj.ac.za
