Programme Fees


Purpose

The purpose of this qualification is to develop a competent professional, who has thorough grounding in the knowledge and skills required for Diagnostic Radiography and who has gained experience in applying such knowledge and skills in accredited workplaces. Successful completion of this qualification will entitle the student to register with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Diagnostic Radiographer.


Career Opportunities

Radiographers use x-ray equipment and Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment to produce images that assist in the diagnosis of injuries and diseases.


Admission Requirements

Minimum APS of 31, English 5 (60%+), Mathematics 4 (50%+), Physical Sciences 4 (50%+) and Life Sciences 5 (60%+).


Selection Process

Selection will be based on: academic merit and a clinical placement in a training site accredited by the Health Professional Council of South Africa.

Mathematical Literacy is not accepted.
