Grade 9 Subject Choice Seminar

On August 1st, 2024, the University of Johannesburg’s Auckland Park Kingsway Campus hosted a Grade 9 Subject Choice event at the Sanlam Auditorium, Kingsway Campus, which comprised of two sessions: a morning session at 10:00 and an evening session at 17:00.

The purpose of the seminar was to give guidance to the Grade 9 scholars in selecting subjects that will align with the university courses of their choice. The event was highly informative, and it gave the grade 9 pupils some valuable insights. The scholars had the opportunity to engage with departmental representatives, some of which are currently students who shared their experiences, helping the scholars to gain a better understanding of what to expect when joining the university.

The event was attended by various schools and some scholars were accompanied by their parents. Overall, the event was a success, providing scholars with a well-informed foundation for their future academic choices.
