We have established the UJ food gardens, UJ aquaponics and hydroponics projects for sustainable food security and nutrition, and research and learning related to urban food systems and agroecology.

We published academic and applied action research with the efforts and contribution of Professor Michael Rudolph, Dr Evans Muchesa and research associates.

Provided for Workplace Readiness Masterclass for Siyakhana Experiential Learning students at UJ

We have implemented the Oppenheimer Project, Exxaro Project (pending) and the Siyakhana Igadi Solwazi Project
