Programmes at the Chair

Currently the Chair at the University of Johannesburg runs two post-graduate programmes:

  1. Masters of Philosophy (MPhil) with specialization in Innovation and Sustainable

Development

  1. Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) with specialization in Innovation and Sustainable

Development

Details of the programmes are available here. Both programmes are offered onsite i.e. attendance at the Johannesburg campus is required. We currently do not offer these programmes as virtual study programmes.

Applications are open each year from 1 April – 31 October 2023

Admission requirements for the UJ programmes are:

  • MPhil: Honours Degree or an equivalent Degree in a related field. A minimum of 65% is required.
  • DPhil: Masters Degree in relevant field, with a minimum mark of 65%
