We exist to inspire everyone to live more creative lives, empower people to use new ideas, and make new decisions to make the world a better place. We look forward to supporting your amazing work.

An academic from UJ, one from Germany’s Chemnitz University of Technology and two external experts will present their views on the topic on the 16 and 17 April between 12:00 and 13:00, and 18 April between 12:00 and 14:00. Speaker: Prof Ziska Fields
Topic: Inspire the Creative Genius Within

Bio: Professor Ziska Fields is an Associate Professor in the College of Business and Economics, Department of Business Management at the University of Johannesburg (UJ). Prof Fields is an external researcher and habilitator at the Chair of Innovation Research and Technology Management, Chemnitz University of Technology. She is a Neethling Brain Instruments (NBI) Practitioner focusing on identifying and developing people’s preferred thinking styles and helping them think more creatively at school, university, and the workplace. She is the Ambassador for the World Creativity and Innovation Week (WCIW) and World Creativity and Innovation Day (WCID) in South Africa. This role aims to connect cities, regions, and countries to the WCIW creative community and foster creativity by promoting, empowering, and supporting WCIW’s creativity mission.

Topic:  Developing your CQ to INSPIRE innovation

Bio: Dr Cherylene de Jager is a creativity, innovation, design thinking, change and transformation specialist in the process of establishing herself as a thought leader of Creative Intelligence (CQ). Her impressive portfolio reflects a success story of more than twenty years. The multiple interventions that she, in tandem with carefully selected associates, co-creates with high-profile clients and prominent
South African, and organisations in the rest of Africa, includes financial services organisations (Absa, Standard Bank, Nedbank, Bank Windhoek, MCB), academic institutions (UJ, NWU) retail (Woolworths, Foschini), mining (Exarro, PPC), hospitality (Sun International) and construction companies (Grinacker-LTA). Music, mimes, magic, theatrical and interactive techniques, in tandem well-researched and carefully designed actions, optimally transfer skills whilst the strategic goals are achieved. Most importantly, the journey is legendary, exciting, extraordinary … even dazzling! She is faculty at SBS-ED, Milpark Business School, and a strategic partner of SGI (Stellenbosch Graduate Institute). Her online, Leading Business Innovation Course, is presented via SBS-ED.

Speaker: Prof. Stefan Hüsig (Germany)
Topic: INSPIRE Technological Futures by Fictions and Forecasts

Bio: Prof. Stefan Hüsig is holder of the chair for Innovation Research and Technology Management at the Technische Universitat Chemnitz, Germany. Before he had several positions in academia such as Interim Professor at the Chair of Innovation Research and Sustainable Resource Management at the TU Chemnitz, as an Associate Professor at the Department of Innovation and Technology Management at the University of Regensburg, Germany or as Deputy Director and founder of a new Institute for Innovation and Technology Management at the University of Economics in Prague (Czech Republic). Moreover, he had visiting positions at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado (USA), Aston Business School, Aston University in Birmingham (UK), the Clermont Graduate School of Management, Clermont-Ferrand (France) and the Fudan University in Shanghai (China). His teaching portfolio includes EMBA and in-house courses plus teaching experiences in eight countries in Europe, Africa and Asia. In addition to his academic activities Prof. Dr. Hüsig was active in research and consulting projects in collaboration with Mannesmann, Vodafone, Continental or the Fraunhofer Institute. He holds a Habilitation in Business Administration, a PhD in Innovation Management and a Diploma in Business Administration from University of Regensburg.

A senior and executive leader with 30 years of progressive experience within the Financial Service Sector with specific expertise in Asset Based Finance, Operations Management, and Implementation of change- management Processes and Procedures. Futhi has a proven and demonstrable track record of high performance in linking corporate vision with the delivery of desired results through development and empowerment of people, process, and focus.
