Darryl started his professional career with Eskom in 1995 after the completing his BSc. in Electrical Engineering at WITS University. Initially Darryl started out in high voltage electrical engineering research and obtained his MSc. (Eng.) with a dissertation on electrical earthing (grounding) in 2000. Darryl then started working in the field of energy management and conducted many energy audits for Eskom’s industrial and commercial customers in the early 2000’s. In 2009 Darryl was seconded to Eskom’s Internal Energy Efficiency programme initially as a Technical Expert and later as the Programme Manager for a period of 4 years. Darryl has recently taken on the role of e-Mobility Programme Manager, responsible for the development of a business case for e-Mobility within Eskom.
