The webinar will provide insights into the essence of collaboration, the need to create collaborations and effectively managing such collaborations. Prof. Oluwafemi Adebo is an Associate Professor and Deputy HOD (Research) at the Department of Biotechnology and Food Technology in the University of Johannesburg (UJ), South Africa. He leads the Food Innovation Research Group (FIRG) which consists of Postgraduate Students and Post-Doctoral Research Fellows. Prof. Adebo has attracted significant amount of grants and received notable awards including Institute of Food Technologists Emerging Leaders Award, National Research Foundation Emerging Researcher of the Year, UJ’s Vice Chancellor’s Most Distinguished Young Researcher of the Year Award, UJ’s Faculty of Science Research Award and others from different organizations. He has over 100 published/ accepted journal articles and book chapters. Prof. Adebo collaborates both locally and internationally and remains passionate about food security in the continent and beyond. He is also a regular volunteer for activities that promote food science and technology and an active member of different professional organizations
