The Process Energy and Environmental Technology Station (UJ PEETS) and the Joint Research Centre for Smart Mobility and Climate Change at the University of Johannesburg invite you to a seminar on e-Mobility. Motivated by the need to decarbonise the world economy by 2050, sales of electric vehicles are growing rapidly and South Africa is pivoting to become a manufacturing hub for new energy vehicles. There remain many technical, infrastructural, regulatory, financial and environmental challenges to the adoption of electric vehicles in South Africa, however.

This seminar highlights recent e-Mobility initiatives and innovations. The keynote speaker and a number of UJ researchers will present ongoing research. We invite you to share in the discussions.
