Prof. Victoria Graham is an associate professor in the Department of Politics and International Relations at UJ. She specializes in democracy studies, diplomacy, policy making, and comparative politics. Other interests include history, human rights, voting behaviour, elections, service learning and active citizenship. Her teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels focuses on, among other things, political science and political institutions, South African democracy and development, and comparative politics. In 2014, she won the Stephen P. Koff Prize awarded by the Consortium for Comparative Research on Regional Integration and Social Cohesion (RISC) for her PhD thesis. In 2015, she published a book in which she assessed the quality of democracy in South Africa from 1999-2015. Prof. Graham also holds a position as Extraordinary Senior Research Fellow at Monash SA.
