3M Bursary Appreciation Breakfast
On the 15th of April, we hosted an appreciation breakfast in collaboration with the Department of Marketing Management and the company namely, 3M, who awarded bursaries to 28 deserving students from Diploma to Honours degree level.
Dr Isolde Ward, HOD and Dr Nicole Cunningham, Deputy HoD for Undergraduate Studies and Teaching & Learning led this initiative with a focus to support teaching and learning to address student funding. Hearing from the bursary recipients when they shared their stories was heartfelt as guests realised how this opportunity from 3M is providing students with the opportunity to further and complete their studies without having to worry about outstanding fees. As one of the recipients said, “It’s not just about the financial assistance, but reminding me about my why.”
Indeed, this is not just a provision of funding, but rather an investment towards bettering the lives of students. The Department of Marketing Management once again extended words of appreciation to the 3M team for their generosity and for making impact in the student academic lives. Thank you, 3M, for your contribution to the future leaders of our society.
