How has UJ contributed to your growth in your career?

Graduating from the University of Johannesburg, I had a good career growth from being responsible for research infrastructure to being a lead researcher in a nanotechnology based project. Postgraduate studies played a role since the applied research is focusing on developing products from the laboratory to the end user. UJ research is directly in line with a number of social needs and also addressing national priorities.

What inspires you in your studies?

As a researcher, doing the work that is current and relevant to the needs of the communities in around the country is inspiring. The positive impact that the research will make it's a serious motivation for me.
