UJ’s Prof Kapil Gupta receives IEOM Distinguished Service Award

​Prof Kapil Gupta, Associate Professor: Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Technology at the University of Johannesburg (UJ), received a Distinguished Award from IEOM Society International in recognition of his outstanding leadership and exceptional contributions, dedication and lifelong achievement in academia and service to the industrial engineering and operations management profession.

“This honour means a lot to me. It’s not only an achievement, but a great source of encouragement also that will thrust me to keep achieving the service excellence in industrial engineering & operations management field. I am feeling overwhelmed and ready with double enthusiasm to keep doing good work in teaching, research, and societal service, and maintaining UJ’s reputation with my efforts.”

This award was presented at the 5th North American International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management, held virtually recently and featuring 10 keynote speakers and presentations from researchers and industry executives from around the world.
