In celebrating Tourism Month this year, the University of Johannesburg (UJ) School of Tourism and Hospitality (STH) will be hosting the National Tourism Careers Expo (NTCE) media conference on Tuesday, 3 September 2013. The NTCE, one of the biggest tourism exhibitions in South Africa, is expected to attract more than 10 000 learners, tourism students, graduates and educators later this year.
The NTCE is well known for contributing to creating jobs in the tourism industry. The event became a sensational trademark, involving South Africa’s major tourism role players such as the National Development of Tourism (NDT); Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism (EDEAT – Eastern Cape); and the Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority (CATHSSETA).
UJ’s STH is one of the country’s main producers of future-fit and skilled tourism graduates for the tourism and hospitality sector.
