UJ signs MoU with Renmin University of China for academic collaboration

On Tuesday, 22 January 2019, the University of Johannesburg (UJ) extended its international footprint with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic collaboration with the Renmin University of China.

UJ hosted a senior delegation from Renmin University comprising Prof Wu Fulai, Vice-Chairman of Renmin University Council. Prof Fulai and Prof Saurabh Sinha, UJ Deputy-Vice Chancellor: Research and Internationalisation, signed the MoU formalising the partnership. Areas of common interest will include: Humanities, Social Sciences and Economics.

This partnership will enhance student and staff mobility, establish joint research projects and grant applications, among other important areas of academic interests. The MoU will also explore the possibility of developing a Tri-lateral Agreement between UJ, Renmin and governments.
