Four University of Johannesburg (UJ) cricket club players have been selected to play two matches for the Central Gauteng Club XI team on 23 April and 1 May 2022 in Benoni.

The team will play against the Easterns, under the tutelage of Head Coach Bongani Ntini and Assistant Kurt Human.

This is an opportunity for Khaya Fakude, Yusuf Ravat, Shaveer Khan and Daniel van der Merwe to second time this season. “This means they are 4 most talented players in the club scene who are not provincially contracted, but stand a chance to form part of the system,” says Siyabonga Sibiya: Coach and Manager: UJ Cricket Club.

The team consists of players from Wits University, Jeppe High School, Marks Park, Randburg, Lenasia, and Old Parks.
