UJ Profs inducted into South African Academy of Engineering

​The University of Johannesburg (UJ) has two new Fellows in the South African Academy of Engineering (SAAE), Prof Johan Meyer and Prof Jan-Harm Pretorius. Prof Johan Meyer is the Head of School, Electrical & Electronic Engineering Science and Prof Jan-Harm Pretorius currently serves as the Head of School, Postgraduate School of Engineering Management.

The academy’s Annual Gauteng Induction Dinner took place on the 5th of October 2017 at Grand Lounge, Pretoria Country Club, Waterkloof Ridge, Pretoria.

  • Prof Saurabh Sinha
  • Prof Pat Naidoo

The South African Academy of Engineering (SAAE) was launched in March 1997 to promote engineering excellence for the benefit of all members of the public of South Africa. The Academy comprises South Africa’s most eminent engineers of all disciplines and related professionals with proven ability and achievement. It is able to take advantage of their wealth of knowledge and experience which, with the interdisciplinary character of the membership, provides a unique source with which to meet the objectives.
