UJ Paralympians ready for Rio

Two students from the University of Johannesburg (UJ) will be joining Team SA in the upcoming Rio Paralympics taking place from Wednesday, 7 to Sunday, 18 September 2016 in Brazil. With the Olympians’ best showing in Rio earlier this August, the Paralympians will be hoping to emulate if not surpass the great performances South Africa has seen.

UJ students Andrea Dalle (Athletics: T37 Long Jump) and Dieter Rosslee (Para-rowing: Legs Trunk and Arms Mixed Coxed Four) will represent South Africa and UJ.

The two students will be joined by five UJ Club members. Sandra Khumalo will compete in the Arms and Shoulders Scull event.

In the Legs Trunk and Arms Mixed Coxed Four event, Dylan Trollope, Willie Morgan, Shannon Murray and Lucy Perold will join Dieter Rosslee. This UJ team claimed their second consecutive Sports Team of the Year Award at the October 2015 Gauteng Sports Awards.
