Ethical Foundation is an important value at the University of Johannesburg (UJ), visibly reinforced to establish colossal student and staff honest conduct, both at academic and support levels. The University’s Accountancy Department has on Monday, 8 February 2016, launched a project called #EthicalAmbassador that encourages students in the Faculty of Economic and Financial Science (FEFS) responsible citizens in pursuit of building a successful ethical society.

The UJ community is also encouraged to report unethical behavior by calling the whistle-blowing toll-free number 0800 204 975. In 2014, UJ launched the ethics hotline to encourage its staff and students to report unethical conduct.
