​​​​UJ hosted SARUA Triennial General meeting​

The University’s Vice-Chancellor and SARUA’s Chairperson, Professor Ihron Rensburg, welcomed over 35 delegates from ten SADC countries to participate in a review and future scenario discussion on the organisation’s strategic direction.

Many founding members of SARUA were present and all delegates were proud to be associated with SARUA’s history and achievements. Vice-Chancellors and their representatives confirmed the need for mobility and exchange across the SADC region, for strengthening higher education institutions across the SADC region, for strengthening networks as well as cross border partnerships.​​​
