Our condolences to UJ Beach Volleyball head coach Adrian “Gosh” Strijdom’s family and friends

​​The University of Johannesburg (UJ) community is mourning the death of head coach and prolific beach volleyball player, Adrian “Gosh” Strijdom who passed away on Thursday afternoon, 14 May 2015.​

Says Mr Anton van Rooyen, UJ Sports Manager: Volleyball and Basketball: “It is with heartfelt regret that we learned about the passing of “Gosh” Strijdom. It is a great loss to South Africa’s beach volleyball fraternity and the young talent he nurtured at UJ. His passion for the sport and for the development of young players was apparent and a true inspiration, he made a difference to the lives of many. Our thoughts and prayers go to his family, loved ones and friends.”​​​​
