Kerzner, the Sun King visits UJ

​​​​​South Africa’s sun king and legendary hotel magnate Sol Kerzner visited the School of Tourism and Hospitality (STH) at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) on Monday, 25 March 2013. ​

The hotel entrepreneur (77) encouraged students at the school to pursue careers in the industry because it is exciting and challenging.

 

Kerzner, who is a well-known patron of STH, gives annual scholarships to prospective students to study tourism and hospitality at the school. UJ’s STH was named after him.
