INVITATION: Masterclass by Dr Rob Byrne

The masterclass will explain the concept of socio-technical systems using
the example of an off-shore windfarm. As the example should illustrate, the
socio-technical system concept helps us to identify, understand and analyse the
many inter-related aspects of introducing and promoting innovations intended
to achieve sustainability goals. Building on this explanation, the masterclass will
give a light introduction to a widely-used theoretical framework based on the
socio-technical system concept, which can be used to develop a transformative
theory of change for use by practitioners and policymakers.
