Dr Ebes Esho wins Best Reviewer Award of the Academy of Management

​Dr Ebes Esho (CBE Post-Doctoral Research Fellow, School of Accounting) has received the Best Reviewer Award of the Academy of Management (AOM) at its recent virtual conference. The accolade is based on numerous reviews for the renowned international association of management sciences.

Dr Esho is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow under the supervision of Prof Grietjie Verhoef at the University of Johannesburg (UJ). Dr Esho conducted reviews for the 80th annual Academy of Management Conference held 7-11 August, 2020. The award, from the International Management (IM) division of the Academy of Management, was announced at the IM Division Business Meeting on Monday August 10. The Academy of Management is the preeminent professional association for management and organisation scholars.

“Peer review is an essential aspect of academic research writing and the publication process. The peer review award from such a preeminent organisation attests to our University’s quality and commitment to all aspects of research and publication”, says Dr Esho.

Prior to joining UJ, Dr Esho completed her PhD at the Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, Nigeria in 2016. Her research is on the strategic performance and internationalisation of African businesses, with a special focus on internationalisation of African businesses in the era of Fourth Industrial Revolution.
