Biotechnology and Food Technology Department at the 23rd SAAFoST Congress

Staff, Postdoctoral Fellows and Postgraduate Students of the Department of Biotechnology and Food Technology attended and presented their research at the 23rd Biennial Congress of the South African Association of Food Science and Technology (SAAFoST) in Johannesburg. Ongoing and completed research in the diverse fields of Food Technology were presented as Oral and Poster presentations. Dr. Oluwafemi Adebo, Dr. Bhekisisa Dlamini and Dr. Eugenie Kayitesi chaired Scientific Sessions during the Congress while Dr. Oluwafemi Adebo was part of the Local Organizing Committee of the Congress.

UJ’s Department of Biotechnology and Food Technology’s team consisted of Dr. Eugenie Kayitesi, Dr. Bhekisisa Dlamini, Dr. Oluwafemi Adebo and Mr. Witness Qaku – Staff; Dr. Opeoluwa Ogundele and Dr. Ajibola Oyedeji – Post Doctoral Research Fellows; Ms. Siposanele Moyo, Ms. Janet Adebiyi and Ms. Minenhle Khoza – Doctoral students; Ms. Nombulelo Zulu, Ms. Nontobeko Zulu, Mr. Ahmed Salatou – Masters students; Ms. Nomthandazo Msimango and Mr. Nhlanhla Phiri – BTech students.
